基于算法推动的文化传播“破圈”机制研究——以B站“法国音乐剧”的传播为例 被引量:9

Research on the Mechanism of Cross-genre Cultural Dissemination Under Algorithmic Intervention:Taking the Spread of French Musicals on Bilibili as an Example

摘要 文化“破圈”是近年来备受业界和学界关注的热点现象。然而,在算法全面重塑文化生产、传播逻辑的背景下,现有研究侧重探讨权威机构为拓宽受众渠道而采取的主动“破圈”策略,较少关注算法推动文化突破原有类型边界、与其他文化产生特征融合的被动“破圈”现象。通过对“法国音乐剧”在B站上的传播情况进行研究发现:该小众形式与欧美影视文化、日本动漫文化、韩国流行文化、中国偶像文化、游戏电竞文化、音乐炫技、中国城市形象等7个不同类型产生了重叠;算法推动文化跨类型“破圈”的机制并非建立在艺术类型感知上,而是基于标签语义关联;在人们越来越依赖算法去选择、消费和评价文化产品的当下,文本内容对平台算法具有愚弄性和操纵性的一面。在未来的文化产业发展中,既要积极拥抱技术变革,促进公民媒介使用能力的提升,也应注意对公民开展“算法意识”和批判意识的教育。 Cross-genre cultural dissemination is a hot phenomenon that has attracted considerable attention from the industry and academia in recent years.As algorithmic media have increasingly incorporated into the cultural industry agenda,existing research has mainly discussed how authoritative cultural institutions break traditional boundaries between genres as a strategy to broaden audience channels.However,less attention has been paid on the role of algorithm in the cross-genre phenomenon during the online dissemination.This study investigates the dissemination of French musicals on Bilibili.com and reveals overlap between seven different clusters of cultural features,such as European-American film and television,Japanese ACG,Korean Pop culture,Chinese idol culture,E-sport game,music dazzling,and Chinese cities.Algorithm does not base recommend contents on their artistic and esthetic styles,but on semantic similarities of their tags.At a time when people are increasingly relying on algorithms to search,consume and evaluate cultural products,text content tends to fool and manipulate algorithms.It is thus important for users to understand how algorithms shape culture diversion online and to have a critical mind instead of fully relying on algorithmic process.
