摘要
英语复合词是构成新词的一个重要手段,而且能产性极强。英语复合词看似简单,其实不然。其多种关系及内在诸成分之间的语义关系极为复杂。本文在考察英语复合词的基本分类的基础上,试图以复合词的中心词素是否含有动词为基础,将复合词分为动词类和非动词类,并对非动词类英语复合词进行语义特征分析,为进一步探究其认知构建过程打下基础。
Compounds, whose formation is one of the most important means to create new words, are very productive in the English language. The semantic relations of the inner elements are very complicated. Based on the elementary classification of English compounds, we try to divide English compounds into verb - compounds and non - verb compounds according to a verb＇ s existence or non - existence in the main element of compounds. And we also try to analyze the inner semantic features of non - verb English comnounds so as to make a future study of them.
