摘要
通过比较《化学文摘》收录前后的发表于《北京医科大学学报》（自２００１年起更名为《北京大学学报（医学版）》）１９９９、２０００年的１２４篇英文摘要，总结、发现英文摘要写作中存在的常见问题：定冠词ｔｈｅ的误用，文题中实验对象不明，状语位置不当，表达欠精练，运用非公知公认缩写等，为提高英文摘要的写作质量，进而提高中文期刊被国际知名检索系统收录量、提高期刊的影响因子提供依据。
To find English abstracts' defects, to improve the quality of English abstract writing, and to increase the number of papers abstracted by world-famous retrieval systems and the impact factor of scientific periodicals, the authors contrasted 124 pieces of original author abstracts pubished in Journal of BeiJing Medical University (the journal's name had been changed to Journal of Peking University (Health Sciences from 2001. ) in 1999 and 2000 with those abstracted and modified by Chemical Abstracts document analysts. Defects of English abstract writing included: misuse of definite article 'the', experiment obJects hadn' t been expressed in paper titles, inapprOPriate position of adverbial composition, redundant expression, use of uncommon abbreviations and so on
