摘要
利用流动人口监测调查数据,实证检验了农民工在城市间的流动对其就业质量的影响。研究发现,城市流动对农民工就业质量的总效应为负,这一效应对不同性别、代际的农民工均成立。分维度分析表明,城市流动存在双重效应,既能够通过提高工资收入、单位福利对就业质量发挥正向作用,又能通过提高超时工作的概率以及降低签订劳动合同、参加工会与社会保险、成为白领的概率,对就业质量产生负面效用。农民工"用脚投票"并不能实现高质量就业,但对工资、单位福利等现期回报有显著的提升作用,这是农民工依然保持高流动性的重要原因。
Based on the data of China Migrants Dynamic Survey,this paper empirically tested the impact of migrant workers’intercity mobility on their employment quality.The results showed that the overall effect of urban mobility on the employment quality of migrant workers was negative,and this effect was established for the workers with different genders and generations.Fractional dimensional analysis showed that urban mobility had a dual effect.On the one hand,urban mobility could play a positive role in employment quality by increasing wage income and unit welfare.On the other hand,urban mobility also had a negative effect through the ways of increasing the probability of overtime work,reducing the probability of signing labor contracts,joining trade unions and social insurance,as well as becoming a white-collar worker.Although migrant workers couldn’t realize high-quality employment through“voting with their feet”,they have obtained better wages and material benefits,which was the reason for maintaining high mobility.
