This study attempts to examine statistically and econometrically how a college graduate would make his/her decision whether to find a job inter province or not when the costs and revenues are taken into account. The empirical findings may offer the possible answers. First, there is not significant difference in job seeking costs between inter province employment and intra province employment; Second, the initial salary of inter province employment is much bigger than that intra province employment; Third, Hu Kou (residence registration), which brings on excess costs, would obstruct excellent students from getting better jobs.
