摘要
近年来,国内学界一直尝试用西方书籍史视角为新时期古典文献研究带来突破1,而海外书籍史研究者亦探索用中国古典文献学为比较书籍史带来新的学术增长2,二者的合流已是学术演进的必然趋势。自2010年以来,国内学者对“文献文化史”概念的探索和运用,是这一趋势中的关键性进展。赵益认为中国文献书籍社会、文化意义的根本问题,当为“文献图书的悠久历史与古代社会发展和文化传统延续的内在关系及其内涵”3。
XuYanping’s The Book Circulation and Social Culture in the Qing Dynasty applies the concept of cultural history of literature to the study of the Qing Dynasty. It revives the academic resources based on traditional Chinese philology and combines western scholars’ important achievements in the study of Chinese book history. It helps to establish the cultural history of literature that is rooted in Chinese tradition and is in accordance with the historical facts about Chinese literature. The book uses statistic methods taken from measuring historiography to analyze historical materials comprehensively. It also brings new motivations and ideas to the study of the literature history of the Qing Dynasty.
