摘要
外语教学领域现有研究从不同角度分析英语教材的文化内容,但缺少系统地分析文化呈现的框架。本研究基于7套英语教材的试分析,研制《英语教材文化呈现分析框架》。该框架围绕文化呈现内容和呈现方式两个维度,各包含多种具体的子维度,并为呈现方式赋予不同权重,弥补了以往分析仅以频次和百分比等方式计算文化呈现比重的不足。该框架可为教材编写、教材分析与评价研究以及跨文化教学等提供参考。
The field of language education has witnessed an emerging body of research analyzing cultural content in English textbooks from different perspectives.The frameworks utilized in those studies for the analysis,however,have paid little attention to the form of cultural representation.Based on the pilot analysis of seven English textbooks,the study develops the Framework for Analyzing the Representation of Cultures in English Textbooks,which revolves around the content and form of cultural representation,which respectively includes ten specific sub-dimensions.More importantly,different forms of representation are given different weights,thus mitigating the defects of previous research that has delved into cultural representation through mere calculation of frequencies and percentages.This framework suggests implications for textbook compilation,textbook analysis and evaluation and intercultural teaching.
