摘要
高功率、窄线宽589 nm激光可激发海拔约90 km处厚度约10 km的钠层原子并产生后向散射荧光。基于589 nm激光的钠导引星是地基光学望远镜自适应光学系统的理想信标光。介绍了激光与钠原子相互作用的谱线跃迁以及钠导星亮度增强技术,论述了钠导星技术的重要应用以及589 nm激光光源的分类和发展。
High-power narrow-linewidth 589 nm lasers are able to excite the sodium layer with 10 km thickness at the altitude of 90 km and emit the backward scattering.Sodium guide star generated by 589 nm laser is considered as a bright beacon for ground-based optical telescope adaptive optical system.The basic principles of sodium atomic transitions,the approaches to improving the sodium beacon brightness,the applications of sodium lasers and the evolution of 589 nm sodium laser systems are presented.
