Materials development of powder metallurgy valve seat inserts and their failure analysis

摘要 气门和气门座圈摩擦副是内燃机中的重要零部件,也是主要的磨损件之一,其性能对内燃机的整机性能有重要的影响。本文介绍了粉末冶金气门座圈零件的工作环境和服役特性、气门座圈用材料的种类和发展状况等,重点介绍了粉末冶金气门座圈的材料品种、主要性能特点,同时,对气门座圈零件的失效形式和失效机理进行分析,并对气门座圈材料的进一步研发进行了展望。 Valve and valve seat inserts(VSIs) compose a friction pair, and are important components of the internal combustion engines. The valve seat inserts are vulnerable to wear, which has important influence on the performance of the engine. This paper introduces the working environment and service properties of VSIs, the types and development status of the VSIs materials, with emphasis on the types and characteristics of powder metallurgical VSIs materials. The failure modes and mechanism of the VSIs were also overviewed, and a prospect of the research and development tendency of the VSIs was presented.
