摘要
时间作为日常生活重要的符号系统,不仅发挥着协调社会运行的制度性功能,同时作为社会化的重要路径,个体也通过对这一制度性符号系统的习得,不断形塑着特定的时间认知与社会想象。那么,反思时间认知机制的社会发生及其演进,也就成为反思性地探索日常生活时间表征背后"时间为何"这一问题的社会基础。借助埃利亚斯社会文明化的发生学视角,一方面,宏观社会关系结构变迁造成了时间表征及其经验的抽象化,形塑出普遍"线性的"理性时间认知机制;另一方面,于日常生活的时间运作中,基于个体"现在"的主体经验形塑出特殊"微分的"时间认知机制。在两种认知机制相互作用下,时间的长时段文明化演进图景被不断切割微分,有关时间的社会想象被抽象精准的符号表征取代,最终成为日常生活中既熟悉又陌生的个人惯习一部分,时间的认知迷思由此产生。而在当代社会加速的现代化境遇下,基于对"现在"的时间性社会想象的探讨将为时间社会学反思及想象力拓展提供可能空间。
As an important symbolic system in daily life,time not only plays the institutional function of coordinating collaborations,but also serves as an important agent of socialization.Individuals constantly learn to shape their cognition and social imagination of time in daily life.Therefore,it is critical to reflect on the occurrence and evolution of the cognitive mechanism of time.This reflection has become the social basis for the reflexive exploration of"why time"behind the representation of daily life.Using Norbert E lias's social genetic perspective,two cognitive mechanisms intertwine with each other in daily life,resulting in the cognitive myth of time.In the context of the accelerated modernization of the contemporary society,the discussion of the temporal social imagination based on the"present"will provide possible space for the reflection of the sociology of time and the expansion of imagination.
