摘要
随着市场化和工业化的不断推进,人们的工作压力越来越大。在我国全面二孩政策实施效果不及预期的背景下,工作压力增加是否会导致人们结婚和生育欲望的降低值得深入研究。本文分别利用2016年CLDS数据和2015年CGSS数据,运用倾向值匹配方法,探讨了在业劳动力的加班与结婚、二孩生育意愿的因果关系。Logit回归和倾向值匹配的结果表明,加班不会使初婚年龄推迟,亦不会降低劳动者生育二孩的概率。当前自愿加班的主要目的是为了维持生计、提高家庭的生活质量,并没有对社会造成明显的负面影响。
With the development of marketization and industrialization,overtime work is becoming more and more common,and people’s work pressure is increasing.Considering that the implementation effect of China’s two-child policy is not as good as expected,whether overtime work would lead to the reduction of people’s desire for marriage and reproduction deserves further study.Using the data of CLDS(2016)and CGSS(2015),this paper explores the causation between overtime labor force and desire for marriage and bearing a second child by using the method of propensity matching.Logit regression and PSM results show that overtime work does not delay the age of the first marriage,nor does it reduce the probability of workers having two children.At present,the main purpose of overtime work voluntarily is to maintain livelihoods and improve the quality of family life.It does not have obvious negative impact on society.
