高职院校英语A级成绩预测对英语教学的正面反拨效应研究

The Positive Backwash Effect of Prediction of PRETCO-A Scores on English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges

摘要 语言测试对教学的反拨效应已得到广泛认知,但关于测试成绩的预测对教学的影响研究较少。通过预测模型对某高职学生的英语应用能力A级考试的成绩进行预测,选取预测成绩低于及格线的60位的学生作为实验样本,将其随机分成对照组和实验组,每组30人,然后对实验组学生进行40课时的精准帮扶,而对照组不进行任何教学干预。两组学生参加A级全国统考的结果表明实验组学生的考试平均成绩高于对照组2.54分,通过率高于对照组20%,可见成绩预测的反拨作用是正面,可以将传统的后置性的补救式教学改革变为前置性的预警帮扶措施,对教学有前瞻性指导意义。 The backwash effect of language testing on teaching has been widely recognized,but there are few studies on how much the predictions on testing itself influenced the teaching.Through the prediction model,the scores of the Practical English Test for College Students-Level A(PRETCO-A)of a higher vocational school are predicted.The 60 students whose predicted scores are lower than the passing line are selected as research samples,which are randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group,30 students in each group.Then,the experimental group students were given 40 teaching hours of precision assistance and targeted training,while the control group did not engage in any teaching intervention.The results of the two groups of students participating in the PRETCO-A national examination showed that the average score of the students in the experimental group was higher than that of the control group by 2.54,and the pass rate was higher than that of the control group by 20%.It can be seen that the backlash effect of the test prediction is positive,and it helps to transform the traditional post-positioned make-up teaching measures into pre-emptive early-warning supportive measures,which has a forward-looking guiding significance for teaching.
