Objective To comprehensively analyze the clinical efficacy of breast conserving surgery and modified radical mastectomy for early breast cancer. Methods A total of 96 early breast cancer patients were divided by different types of operation into experimental group and control group, with 48 cases in each group. The experimental group received breast conserving surgery, and the control group received modified radical mastectomy. Comparison were made on clinical indicators and occurrence of complications between the two groups. Results The experimental group had obviously better intraoperative bleeding volume as(16.5± 2.2) ml, operation time as(114.3±21.2) min, volume of drainage as(287.6±37.7) ml and hospitalization time as(9.7±3.2) d than(48.1±2.0) ml,(156.2±22.7) min,(566.9±46.8) ml and(13.5±2.8) d in the control group, and their difference was statistically significant(P〈0.05). The experimental group had obviously lower incidence of complications as 2.1% than 14.6% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P〈0.05). Conclusion Application of breast conserving surgery shows remarkable clinical efficacy. Not only the operation indexes are superior to modified radical mastectomy, but also the risk of complications is lower than that of radical mastectomy. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
