摘要
全球化时代,大型上市公司如何应对社会公信力危机成为重要议题。通过运用跨文化语用学研究方法,针对不同文化背景的企业在原油泄漏新闻发布会中危机话语策略进行对比分析,研究发现:请求信息是美国与中国企业最常用的问话策略。美国注重澄清和确认信息,而中国则注重数据。在拒绝的情况下,直接拒绝是美国企业常用的策略,闪避和借口策略则普遍应用于中国企业的数据中。在转移话题方面,美国企业倾向于许诺未来,而中国企业则是更多地建立新议题来转移,两国的文化差异则是其采取不同策略的背后原因。美国表现为低语境文化和个人主义,而中国则呈现为高语境文化、关系主义和面子文化。
In the age of globalization,the crisis public credibility of enterprises has become an important issue.By using the cross-cultural pragmatics approach,this article investigated discursive strategy in routine press conferences held by the Chinese enterprises and American enterprises on the topic of Oil Spill Accident,and this article uses the comparative method to analyse the similarities and differences of the discursive strategy.Findings demonstrated that:(1)request for specific information was the most frequently adopted strategy in both USA and Chinese press conference,but more clarification and confirmation questions were used in the USA data and more questions for comments were found in the Chinese data;(2)in the case of refusals,direct refusals for refusal were frequent in the USA data while avoidance and excuse answers were prevalent in the Chinese data and(3)American enterprises usually prefer to make future promise to change the topic of on-going conversation.However,Chinese companies are used to set up a new topic to cope with the emergency situations.Accordingly,the differences in ideology and culture between two countries are the underlying explanations for their different problem-response strategies in the press conference.The USA emphasizes individualism and behaves the feather of low-context culture.However,Chinese shows high-context culture.In addition,the relationalism and "face"culture are very popular in China.
