摘要
《中华人民共和国海船船员适任考试和发证规则》(11规则)已于2012年3月1日起生效。为了更好地指导帮助学生进行"轮机英语听力与会话"适任评估考试前的培训,加强对文本的理解,进一步提高学生的语言应用能力以及适任水平,以翻译家严复所提出的"信、达、雅"的翻译理论为依据,结合本门课程科技语言的的专业特色,探讨总结了ESP(专业用途英语)的翻译原则,在课堂教学中取得了良好效果。
Rules of the People＇ s Republic of China for the Competency Examination and Certification of Seamen （ 11 Rules ） has entered into force on March 1, 2012. In order to instruct and train the evaluation course of aural and oral training on marine engineering English, strengthen the understanding of text, and improve the students＇ English language application level and competency level, the translation principles of ESP （English for Special Purpose） will be summarized, based on the translation theory of ＂faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance＂ by Yanfu in conjunction with the professional feature of this technical language; moreover, and these principles will be applied to teaching.
