设计介质论——风景园林学研究方法论的新进路 被引量:20

Research through Design: An Alternative Approach to the Research Methodology for Landscape Architecture

摘要 针对风景园林设计研究方法论发展中所面临的"严谨性"与"相关性"的矛盾,主张风景园林设计领域的学术研究应依托设计经验与设计能力,对设计过程进行反思,以增强研究的"相关性",从而为风景园林学研究方法论的探索拓展"设计介质论"的研究进路。从设计知识作为独立智力类型的特殊性、设计过程作为求知过程的特殊性,以及设计知识构成形式的特殊性3个方面论述了设计作为研究介质的必要性。梳理了设计研究理论在国内的发展脉络,介绍了设计介质论研究著作、理论框架,以及成果形式等来自清华大学建筑学院与柏林工业大学环境规划建筑学院联合专题研究团队的"设计介质论"研究初步成果。 In response to the contradiction between "rigorous" and "relevant" requirements of the research methodology for landscape architecture, this article articulates that the approach of research through design, which reflects the process of designing on the base of design experiences and design ability, should be engaged in the field of landscape architectural research. In the article, the appropriateness of designing as the media of researches is argued through 3 aspects: design knowledge as independent intellection category; design activities as special knowledge acquiring processes; and the design knowledge with unique formal characteristic of the combination. The development of design research theory under the context of domestic academia is reviewed and the research outcome on research through design from THU-TUB joint research team is introduced.
