中国传统家具是中华民族智慧的结晶,珍贵的文化遗产,其装饰图案绚丽多彩,美不胜收,是构成中国传统家具艺术风格的重要元素。中国传统家具装饰图案无论是题材内容,还是艺术风格都有一个代代相承的脉络,又屡屡接受外来文化的影响,不断丰富充实和变化发展,大致形成了一个神秘威严(商周)、写实精炼(秦汉)、丰满华丽(唐)、典雅柔美(宋)、简练秀丽(明)、繁琐富丽(清)的家具装饰图案的风格演变过程,这个脉络体系正是我们所要真正把握的民族传统文化的"根"。
Classic Chinese furniture is the valuable heritage of our predecessors and the crystal of our civilization. The decorative patterns on it are bright and colorful, which is the important element that forms the artistic style of our classic furniture. With the development of history, the subject matter of design as well as the artictic style of decorative patterns of the classic furniture has a thread of thought and is influenced by the outer culture frequently. It gradually forms a mysterious and stately (Shang-Zhou periods), true and refined (Qin-Han dynasties), plentiful and gorgeous (Tang dynasty), elegant and beautiful (Song dynasty), succinct and elegant (Ming dynasty), luxuriant and splendid (Qing dynasty) style, which is just the true essence of our traditional culture that we should really grasp.
