摘要
谚语是语言文学的瑰宝,是民族智慧的结晶。"押韵"是谚语常用修辞之一,增强了谚语的感染力和音韵之美;但遗憾的是,一些英语谚语在汉译时却失去了原有的音韵。以三条英语谚语的汉译为例,紧扣"押韵"修辞,发挥译语优势进行创译,分析如何在翻译中传达出原文的音形义之美。
Proverbs are the treasures of a language and the crystallization of national wisdom.To enhance the artistic beauty of English proverbs,many figures of speech are employed,and ＂rhyme＂ is one of them.But it is no easy task conveying the phonological beauty and rhythmical features of English proverbs.With the guidance of Mr Xu Yuanchong＇s theory of rivalry,it is possible to keep the beauty of rhyme in proverbs.
