The Dialectics of the "Truth-seeking——Utility-attaining" Model of Continuum of Evaluation Towards Translator Behavior

摘要 "求真—务实"译者行为评价模式的两个端点间是辩证的关系,"求真"制约"务实",但"务实"又高于"求真"。"求真"是译者的本能行为,"务实"是译者服务的目的所在。该评价模式用于评价译者的行为能基本上做到描写的客观性和解释的合理性。 The two extremes of the "Truth-seeking--Utility-attaining" Model of Continuum of Evaluation Towards Translator Behavior are dialectical. "Truth-seeking" restricts "Utility-attaining", but the latter prevails over the former. "Truth - seeking" is the translator' s instinctive behavior while "Utility-attaining" is the aim the translator pursues. The model of translator behavior evaluation is basically objective in description and rational in explanation.
