摘要
红腹锦鸡是唐家河国家级自然保护区的优势雉类,1999年至2005年对保护区内野生红腹锦鸡生物学特性及繁殖习性进行了调查研究,结果显示:红腹锦鸡属中型鸡类,雄鸡体重570～751g,体长861～1078mm;雌鸡体重550～670g;体长590～700mm。多栖息于落叶、常绿阔叶混交林带的岩坡和灌木丛,主要以野豌豆、野樱桃、青蒿、蕨叶和青冈子等植物的叶、芽、花、果实和种子为食,此外也吃甲虫、蠕虫、双翅目和鳞翅目昆虫等小型无脊椎动物。常在林中边走边觅食,早晚亦到林缘觅食。红腹锦鸡一般12月龄达性成熟,每年3月进入繁殖期,一直延续到7月下旬。红腹锦鸡实行一雄多雌制,通常1只雄鸡与2～4只雌鸡交配。雄鸡3月中旬开始发情,雌鸡发情晚15d左右。3月下旬雄鸡即出现求偶行为,雄鸡间亦常发生激烈的争斗并开始占区。4月初开始产蛋,产卵时间一般在早7∶00或下午19∶00左右,产蛋量为5～9枚。雌鸡在卵满窝的当天即开始孵抱,孵化期23d,孵化率80%左右。
From 1999 to 2005, study on the biological characteristics and reproductive behavior of the golden pheasant （Chrysolophus pictus）were carried out in the Tangjiahe Nature Reserve, Sichuan Province. The results show that i the golden pheasant is a kind of medium size pheasant （weight： male 570 - 751 g, female 550 -670 g; body length： male 861 - 1078 mm, female 590 - 700 mm）, inhabiting in the rock slopes, evergreen shrubs, broadleaved forest and deciduous forest. It walks in the forest looking for food and also comes to the edge of the forest in the morning and in the evening, feeding on the leaves, shoots, flowers, fruits and seeds of chickling Vicia cracca, wild cherry Prunus tomentosa, southernwood Arte- misia apiacea, fern, etc. Golden pheasant also feeds on some little invertebrates, such as beetles, worms, diptera and lepi- doptera. The age of sex maturity of golden pheasant is twelve months. The reproductive season is from the middle of March till late July. The estrus of male golden pheasant is in the middle of March, which is earlier than the female for about fifteen days. The male courtship display occurs in late March, together with the drastic combats and the behaviour of ranging territory. During the breeding season, the male golden pheasant often mates with 2 - 4 females. The female lays 5 - 9 egg in the early April, often at 7：00 in the morning or at 19：00 in the evening. The incubation period is about 23 days, beginning when the egg is enough for its nest. The hatchability rate is about 80%.
