摘要
无论是在国外还是国内,模糊语言研究目前都堪称语言科学一个新的生长点。国内外学者在模糊语言研究方面做了许多富有成效的工作,但研究过程中存在的问题也显而易见,主要表现在:(1)对语言模糊性的认识有些矫枉过正;(2)对何谓语言的模糊性尚缺乏一致意见;(3)对语音、句法结构模糊性的研究明显落后于对语义模糊性的研究;(4)对模糊性在不同语言中的共性与差异性研究尚嫌不足;(5)对语言模糊现象的认知心理和分类研究还有待深入;(6)对模糊语言的翻译问题有时刻意加以回避。这些问题若不能得到解决,很可能会制约模糊语言学研究今后的发展。本文拟就这些问题提出初步的应对思路。
Research on language fuzziness,a promising area of linguistic studies,has made considerable progress both at home and abroad due to fruitful work by scholars.Notwithstanding,there still exist some apparent problems,which include:(1)language fuzziness is not properly understood;(2)no consensus has thus far been reached with respect to the definition of language fuzziness;(3)the research on phonetic and syntactic fuzziness lags far behind that on semantic fuzziness;(4)research is inadequate on the universal and particular manifestations of fuzziness in different languages;(5)further research is needed on the cognitive process involved in language fuzziness and classification thereof;(6)the issue of translating fuzzy language is often eschewed.Unless these problems are overcome,future studies of language fuzziness will be hampered.Tentative solutions to the problems are suggested in this paper.
