Objective To comprehend the immune status of six groups of tmnor patients, and to discuss the relationship between the development of tumor and the absolute counts change of lymphocyte, which includes T cell subpopulations, NK cell and B cell. Methods The absolute counts including T cell subpopulations, NK cell and B cell were detected with flow cytometry in 204 patients who had 71 cases of lung cancer, 39 cases of liver cancer, 28 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, 29 cases of colon carcinoma, 22 cases of breast cancer, 15 cases of esophageal cancer, and 38 normal controls. Results The absolute counts of T cell subpopulations and NK cell in six groups of tumor patients were lower than that of control group ( P 〈 0.05), while B cell had no significant difference with control group ( P 〉 0.05). There were no significant differences among different kinds of tumor patients ( P 〉 0.05). Conclusion The cellular immunity of tumor patients were commonly low, the absolute counts of lymphocyte in tumor patients may have some action on the occurrence and development of tumor.
