加强少数民族教育研究具有特别重要的意义：科学地服务于民族教育实践、中国教育事业以及国家全局的和谐发展；促使多元文化教育理论的本土化，丰富当代中国教育思想；直接促进教育人类学在中国的成长，充实中国教育科学的研究领域和学科体系；在中国推广教育民族志（教育人种志），完善中国教育研究的方法和方法论。
It is of great significance to strengthen educational studies in minority nationalities.
