摘要
洛克以拉丁文为例,阐明了其外语教学思想,他强调学习外语的最好办法就是天天说该语言,只有通过反复不断的练习,才能真正掌握。因此,他极力反对当时的英国家长花大量时间和金钱送孩子进学校学习拉丁文文法的方法,他认为对于只需把外语当作交流的工具的人来说,没有必要学习文法规则,同时,他就外语学习方法提出了一些颇有建树的看法,对后世影响较大。
Taking Latin for example, John Locke illustrated his views about foreign language learning and teaching, he stressed practice was the best way of learning foreign language, only by this means, could it be grasped. As a result, he disagreed that English parents sent their children to Latin schools to learn grammar. Locke believed foreign language was a tool for communication and he supplied some constructive opinions, which influenced greatly on the successor.
