摘要
翻译是科学还是艺术,在翻译界一直争论不休。本文从翻译的现实出发,界定什么是科学?什么是艺术?科学和艺术有什么异同之处?澄清一些含糊的概念如科学和科学性、艺术和艺术性。作者认为翻译首先是一门科学,其次具有明显的艺术特征;即翻译是具有明显艺术特征的科学。
Over the years we have had the debates about whether translation is a science or an art.This essay makes an explanation of what science is,what art is and the difference and similarities between science and art.It clarifies the easily confusing concepts like science and scientific,art and artistic.The writers think,from the perspective of practices,that translation is a science with plain artistic features.
