摘要
迄今 ,人们已对词汇进行了多方面的研究 ,包括词汇的意义 ,形态 ,在句和篇中的作用等 ;本文拟从Halliday的语义三元理论的角度 ,分析具有经验—情态人际二元意义的英语词 ,包括 (对经验—人际双元功能词的界定和分类 ,及其八种词源学演变过程。这对词汇教学和词典编纂均具有一定的理论意义和实践价值。
Linguists have by now studied lexis from different linguistic levels and from varied perspectives; this paper looks into the experiential_modal interpersonal bi_functionality of lexis from the point of view of the classification along the axis of experiential and interpersonal poles. Then it tries to work out the diachronic reason of evolution. This would help explore lexicology as well as lexicography both theoretically and practically.
