A Study of the Extension Technologies of SIP

摘要 会话启动协议(SIP)是I-ETF提出的IP网络多媒体通信控制协议,具有简单灵活、易于同因特网集成等诸多优点,应用前景广阔。在简述SIP协议特征与功能的基础上,研究SIP在不同应用中的扩展。重点讨论SIP在与ISUP互通、即时消息和在线状态、资源管理等方面的应用,说明了各种扩展的目的和实现方法。最后简述了支持这些扩展的相关产品。 SIP is an IETF control proto-col for multimedia communication based on IP network.Characterized by the advantages of simplicity,flexibility,Internet heritage and so on,SIP is ex-pected to find wide use in the future.Based on a brief introduction to its fea-tures and functions,this paper deals with the extensions to SIP in various applications.Emphasis is put on the ap-plication of SIP in several fields,includ-ing the interworking with PSTN /ISUP,Instant Message /Presence,inte-gration with resource management,etc.The purpose of each extension and its implementation technique are discussed in detail.Finally,an introduction to some products that support these exten-sions is also presented.
