摘要
数字化和绿色化是当前新一轮科技革命和产业变革的两大趋势,也是新质生产力的内在要求和驱动因素。推动长江经济带建设是关系国家发展大局的重要举措,提升碳排放效率是实现长江经济带区域绿色发展的关键途径,作为新型金融模式的数字普惠金融是影响长江经济带碳排放效率的重要因素。基于2011-2021长江经济带108个城市的面板数据,运用超效率SBM模型测算碳排放效率,以及面板固定效应模型与中介机制模型实证分析长江经济带区域城市中数字普惠金融对碳排放效率的影响,并通过空间杜宾模型进一步研究其空间效应。研究表明:数字普惠金融能够显著提升长江经济带区域城市的碳排放效率并且存在明显的区域关联性,这一提升通过推动产业结构升级和科学技术水平提升来实现。可以通过推动数字普惠金融发展、加快产业结构转型与促进科学技术水平提升等路径提升长江经济带碳排放效率。
In the context of the development of new productive forces,the relationship between digital inclusive finance and carbon emission efficiency has become a crucial topic in promoting sustainable development.This study focuses on the cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,aiming to explore the impact of digital inclusive finance on carbon emission efficiency.The research uses the super-efficiency SBM model to measure carbon emission efficiency,which takes into account non-expected outputs and overcomes the limitations of traditional measurement methods.To analyze the relationship between variables,panel fixed-effects models and mediation mechanism models are employed.The spatial Durbin model is used to study the spatial effects.The findings indicate that there is a significant positive correlation between the development of digital inclusive finance and the improvement of carbon emission efficiency in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Digital inclusive finance can promote the upgrading of the industrial structure.By identifying high-efficiency and environmentally-friendly industries,it guides the flow of funds,which in turn improves carbon emission efficiency.For example,it encourages the development of high-tech and strategic emerging industries while reducing the proportion of high-energy-consuming and low-technology-content industries.In addition,digital inclusive finance provides strong support for the improvement of scientific and technological levels.It reduces the financing barriers for small and medium-sized enterprises and innovative technology enterprises through digital tools such as cloud computing and big data;it stimulates their innovation vitality;it promotes the development of green technology,thus enhancing carbon emission efficiency.The research also reveals that the carbon emission efficiency of cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt shows positive spatial correlation.Digital inclusive finance not only has a direct impact on local carbon emission efficiency but also generates a significant spatial spillover effect,influencing the carbon emission efficiency of neighboring cities.The positive spatial spillover effect is greater than the direct effect,indicating that the development of digital inclusive finance in one city can promote the improvement of carbon emission efficiency in surrounding cities through the flow of technology and funds.Based on these conclusions,several policy suggestions are put forward.Firstly,it is necessary to accelerate the promotion of digital inclusive finance and support the green transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises.Secondly,a“industry+finance”ecological cycle system should be constructed to guide funds to flow into green high-value-added industries.Thirdly,efforts should be focused on high-tech and strategic emerging industries,and the green transformation of traditional industries and the research and development of green technologies should be accelerated.Finally,a regional linkage mechanism should be promoted to maximize the spatial spillover effect of digital inclusive finance and achieve regional collaborative carbon reduction.This study provides important empirical evidence and policy references for promoting the green development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and achieving sustainable development goals.
