Elaborated in detail the application prospects and challenges faced by Optical Distribution Network(ODN)in smart cities.Through in-depth analysis of its applications in intelligent transportation,energy management,public services,security,and emergency response,combined with discussions on challenges such as construction costs,network maintenance,integration with existing networks,and data security,this study provides a comprehensive perspective for the effective deployment and sustainable development of ODN networks in smart cities.
