摘要
人工智能发展可以为中国制造业全球价值链地位提升带来新的竞争力。利用2010—2022年中国省级制造业的面板数据,实证检验人工智能技术进步对中国制造业全球价值链地位的影响。研究发现:在样本期中,人工智能技术可显著促进制造业全球价值链地位的提升,该结论经过内生性处理和稳健性检验后依然成立;人工智能技术对制造业全球价值链地位的促进效应区位异质性明显,中国东部地区与对外开放水平高的省份中促进效果更好;机制检验发现,人工智能技术可通过促进科技创新和产业结构升级,间接提升制造业全球价值链地位;空间效应分析表明,人工智能技术对制造业全球价值链地位的影响存在明显的空间溢出效应。
The development of artificial intelligence can bring new competitive advantages to the global value chain position of China's manufacturing industry.Using panel data from Chinese provincial manufacturing industries from 2010 to 2022,this study empirically examines the impact of AI technology advancement on the global value chain position of China's manufacturing sector.The research finds that AI technology significantly enhances the global value chain position of manufacturing during the sample period,and this conclusion remains valid after addressing endogeneity and conducting robustness checks.The effect of AI technology on the global value chain position of manufacturing shows notable regional heterogeneity,with more significant effects in China's eastern regions and provinces with higher levels of openness.Mechanism analysis reveals that AI technology indirectly improves the global value chain position of manufacturing by promoting technological innovation and industrial upgrading.Spatial effect analysis indicates that AI technology has a significant spatial spillover effect on the global value chain position of manufacturing.
