摘要
2024年美国总统大选的结果,使我们有必要重思当代美国政治与文化的深层逻辑。美国社会今天面临着剧烈的族群问题、白人至上主义的回归、“另类右翼”的兴起。从精神分析学与政治哲学的双重视角和理论资源出发,我们可以把当代美国政治与文化困境,定位到“文明及其不满”的机制在发生作用。政界的“政治正确”的政客们与知识界的“文化左翼”制造了大量的“对文明的不满”,当这份不满无法在垂直向度化解而只能在水平向度蔓延时,社会就会快速陷入撕裂乃至解体边缘。“文明及其不满”的机制使得人类文明结构性地无法抵达终极性的“理想社会”,而如何处理从该结构性缺口中产生出的“对文明的不满”,深层次决定了一个社会的稳定性状况。
The results of the 2024 U.S.presidential election make it necessary for us to rethink the deep logic of contemporary American politics and culture.American society today faces dramatic ethnic conflicts,the return of white supremacy,and the rise of the“alt-right.”From the dual perspectives and theoretical re⁃sources of psychoanalysis and political philosophy,we can locate the political and cultural dilemma of contem⁃porary America in terms of the mechanism of“civilization and its discontents”.The“politically correct”politi⁃cians in the political circles and the“cultural left”in the intellectual circles have created a large number of“discontents with civilization”,and when such discontents cannot be resolved vertically but can only spread horizontally,society will quickly fall to the verge disintegration.The mechanism of“civilization and its discon⁃tents”makes human civilization structurally unable to reach the ultimate“ideal society”,and how to deal with the“discontents with civilization”generated from this structural gap determines the stability of a society.
