摘要
Motivated by the spirit ignited during the I Provincial Scientific Congress on Antarctica in the city of Ushuaia,in Tierra del Fuego,Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur Province,Argentina,convened in October 2022,we proudly introduce this special volume entitled“Past and present climatic change in Antarctica:geological proxies and biological processes”.What began as a collaborative effort emerging from that landmark event has blossomed into a collection of diverse works,each offering unique perspectives and analytical scales on climate change and the Antarctic environment.
