Objective To analyze the influence of intimate relationship status on young women′s perception of the effectiveness of human papilloma virus(HPV)vaccine. Methods Women aged 18-26 living in Chinese mainland will be selected as subjects from March to June 2021.Questionnaire survey was conducted by simple random sampling and the results were analyzed. Results The more stable the intimate relationship status of Chinese young women was,the stronger their perception of HPV vaccine effectiveness was(married>in love>single),and the difference in perception of HPV vaccine effectiveness between in love and single women was statistically significant(P<0.05).The conception of supporting premarital sex plays a positive role in the impact of intimate relationship status on women′s perception of the effectiveness of HPV vaccine. Conclusions Young women with different intimate relationship status perceive HPV vaccine effectiveness differently, and the idea of sexuality becomes an important mechanism to explain how intimate relationship status affects the perceived effectiveness of HPV vaccine.
