摘要
在《周礼》鸟兽尊彝形制问题的讨论中,力主象形说而反对刻画、饰物说是目前相当流行的观点。从所列证据来看,象形说的学术价值仅在于“质疑”刻画、饰物说,并提供象形的“可能性”,但无法形成定论。其实在没有充分证据的情况下,对《周礼》鸟兽尊彝形制不宜给出任何一种明确的结论,而应暂时予以搁置。科学的历史考证,谋求在史料充分和考证过程严谨的基础上得出相应结论,否则极易导致论证无效而结论切近,甚至论证无效且结论无效的后果。论证过程模糊化而论证结果明确化的背后,实际上潜藏着根深蒂固的历史还原主义倾向,值得从理论和方法层面深入反思。
In the discussion of the shape and style of Zunyi in the images of birds and beasts in the Rituals of Zhou,the popular stand is to advocate the pictography view and oppose the depiction and ornament view.From the perspective of the listed evidence, the academic value of the pictography view only lies in “questioning” the depiction and ornament view, and providing the “possibility” of pictography, but it cannot form a conclusion.Actually, in the absence of sufficient evidence, it is not appropriate to present any clear conclusion on the shape and style of Zunyi in the images of birds and beasts in the Rituals of Zhou.Instead, it should be shelved for the time being.Scientific historical textual research seeks to draw corresponding conclusions on the basis of sufficient historical materials and rigorous textual research process, otherwise it will easily lead to the consequences of invalid argument and close conclusion, or even invalid argument and invalid conclusion.Behind the fuzziness of the argumentation process and the clarity of the argumentation results, there is actually a deep-rooted tendency of historical reductionism, which is worthy of in-depth reflection from the theoretical and methodological levels.
