Objective To analyze the application value of bladder volume monitoring in the recovery of bladder function in patients with rectal cancer after radical resection. Methods One hundred and sixty-two patients with rectal cancer undergoing radical resection in our hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 were selected,81 cases in the observation group and 81 cases in the control group.Bladder volume measurement technique was used to guide personalized bladder function exercise in the observation group, and routine bladder function exercise guidance was used in the control group after radical resection of rectal cancer. The differences of postoperative indwelling catheter time, rate of catheter replacement, rate of successful first micturition, interval time of first micturition,micturition-related complications and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the observation group had shorter indwelling catheter time, average interval between first urination, lower urinary catheter replacement rate, urinary retention, frequency, urgency and dysuria, and higher success rate and patient satisfaction in the observation group(P<0.05).Conclusion Monitoring bladder capacity and guiding patients with personalized bladder function exercise after radical resection of rectal cancer can effectively promote the recovery of bladder function and improve patient satisfaction.
