摘要
科技自立自强与哲社繁荣发展是建设富强民主文明和谐美丽社会主义现代化强国的双引擎。经过40余年的改革开放,中国自然科学研究突飞猛进、取得了举世瞩目的成就,而社会科学研究成果的国际影响力则总体相对发展滞后。文章追溯评析了我国社会科学国际影响力与学术话语权的研究现状与动态,提出“谁在说—说什么—如何说—谁在听—效果如何”的理论分析框架。研究呼吁,随着中国综合国力的提升和参与全球治理实践的不断深入,中国社会科学国际影响力与学术话语权研究应突破现有规范性阐述和文献计量分析切割的局限性,从长时序、宽空间、多维度对影响力机理和学术话语权建设路径开展研究,为中国现代化建设与全球治理参与的战略布局与机制完善提供科学支撑。
Science and technology self-reliance and the advancement of humanities and social science research are the double engines of building a prosperous, democratic, civilized, and harmonious socialist country. After over 40 years of Reform and Opening up, China’s natural science research has advanced by leaps and bounds with world-renowned achievements. Its research in humanities and social sciences has also made great achievements in the dimensions of research outputs, human resources, infrastructure development and so on. Yet, the social science research in China and its global influence has lagged behind when compared to its economic development and international political status over the same period.This research reviews and delineates the status quo and dynamics of studies on the international influence and the power of academic discourse of Chinese social science research. The study identifies four research gaps, namely(1) a disconnected dialogue between normative research and empirical explorations on the topic of global impact and the power of academic discourse of Chinese social science research;(2) a deficient discussion of factors influencing the international influence of Chinese social science studies;(3) a lack of a systematic theoretical analysis framework on evaluating the China’s global impact in the field of social sciences from the perspective of the power of academic discourse;(4) a missing big picture of how new opportunities and challenges interacting and shaping China’s international power of academic discourse.To fill some of the research gap, this study proposes an integrated theoretical framework of 5Ws, i.e. "Who speaks-What content-to Whom-by Which-How effective" to understand and explore the mechanism of constructing and strengthening China’s power of academic discourse. The study calls for multi-perspective and interdisciplinary explorations with diverse and cutting-edge methods to conduct systematic research on the global academic influence of Chinese social science research.
