2021年诺贝尔文学奖获得者古尔纳是坦桑尼亚的杰出作家,其处女作《离别的记忆》围绕“逃离”和“记忆”两大主题,描写主人公哈桑从满怀希望地逃离家乡到无奈归来的过程。古尔纳以哈桑的境遇指向桑给巴尔民众的集体经验、集体命运和集体意识,揭示出殖民主义对桑给巴尔产生的负面影响和民众艰难的生存现状,表达了对殖民历史及其遗留问题的深切关怀。
The winner of Nobel Prize for literature in 2021 Abdulrazak Gurnah is an outstanding representative writer in Tanzania.His first novel,Memory of Departure,revolves around the two themes of“escape”and“memory”,and describes the protagonist Hassan’s escape from his hometown with hope and his helpless return.Gurnah shows the collective experience,collective fate and collective consciousness of Zanzibar people through the experience of Hassan,revealing the negative impact of colonialism on Zanzibar and the difficult living status of Zanzibar people,expressing deep concern for the colonial history and the problems left over.
