摘要
2019年年底暴发于我国湖北武汉的新型冠状病毒肺炎(COVID-19),至2020年2月28日全球已有52个国家出现疫情,确诊感染83 652例,死亡2 858人,给全世界特别是我国人民的生命健康、社会经济发展等造成了巨大损失。在我国全力抗疫取得初步成效的当下,我们不得不反思,未来该如何防范以应对下一次可能的疫情。近年来新出现的人类传染病75%来源于动物,目前推测COVID-19也是如此。同时,微生物的抗生素抗性、环境污染等对人类健康的威胁也日益增长。人类健康与动物和生态系统健康三者之间已经是一个相互依存的整体,即"一个健康"。而兽医所处的独特位置使其成为联系人类、动物和环境健康的纽带。兽医行业通过改善农业与食品系统,推进生物医学和比较医学研究,预防和控制人兽共患病,增强环境和生态系统健康等方面来帮助人类应对21世纪所面临的公共卫生挑战。在我国全面加强兽医职能,建立"一个健康"公共卫生系统是应对人类健康威胁的迫切需要。
COVID-19,which broke out in Wuhan,China at the end of 2019,has so far(February 28,2020) spread to 52 countries around the world,with 83 652 confirmed case and 2 858 deaths.It also impacted the socio-economic development globally.At the moment of China’s efforts to stop the epidemic have shown some positive effect,we have to thinking of how to prevent and respond to the next potential epidemic.It is reported that 75% of newly emerging human infectious diseases in recent years originate from animals,and it is currently speculated that this is also the case for COVID-19.At the same time,threats to human health,such as antimicrobial resistance and environmental pollution etc.,are also increasing.Human health,animal health and ecosystem health are already an interdependent whole,that is,"one health".Veterinarians work at the interface of human,animal,and environmental health,they are uniquely positioned to view this dynamic through the lens of public health impact.Considering the public health challenges we are facing and the fact of none or very few veterinary professionals were employed and governing public health activities in China,there is an urgent need to enhance the veterinarian’s role in the public health system of China.
