摘要
司徒德生,英国物理学家. 1935年受聘于国立中央大学物理系,2年后返英.司徒德生主要研究领域为太阳软X射线光谱,参与了英国Skylark火箭项目.在英美合作卫星项目中,与伦敦大学一同对运载测量仪器进行改进.本文通过档案等文献对司徒德生的生平,包括在中国的工作及其科学成就进行了梳理与挖掘,以期对这个抗战期间在中国教学的物理学家有所了解.
Edward Alfred Stewardson is a British physicist.In 1935,he was employed at the Physics Department of National Central University and returned to the UK two years later.Edward Alfred Stewardson's main research area was solar soft X-ray spectroscopy and he participated in the UK Skylark rocket project.In the Anglo-American cooperative satellite project,he worked with University of London to improve the measurement instruments.This article through the archives and other documents on the life of Edward Alfred Stewardson,including the work in China and his scientific achievements were combed and excavated,in order to understand the physicists teaching in China during the war of resistance.
