摘要
有关数量名结构中量词的解释在汉语名词短语研究中一直是争论的焦点。对量词的中心语地位问题和近期的一些讨论主要涉及量词是否具有中心语地位以及数量名结构的切分方式等问题。根据分析,量词属于功能语类,但不能作为句法中心语,因为它不能决定其所在短语的性、数、格特征,也不能与其所依附的数词或指示代词切分开,缺乏句法语义完整性。量词并非核心词,仅仅是附加于中心语的联结项,本身并非其所在结构的中心语,因而无法形成最大投射Cl P。
The analysis of classifiers in the numeral classifier noun （NCN） construction has been the focus of the research of Chinese noun phrases. This paper examines some issues related to the head theory, attempting to clarify some confusion found in the literature. As a way to determine the syntactic status of classifiers, the paper presents a novel analysis of the way of segmentation of NCN constructions and the syn- tactic status of classifiers. It is argued that the classifier cannot serve as the head of the NCN construction, for it can neither determine the features of gender, number, and Case of the NCN construction nor be seg- mented from the numeral or demonstrative. What＇s more, it is not complete syntactically and semantically. The classifier serves as a mere adjunct adjoining to the head, and hence it cannot project to a C1P.
