Objective To observe the expression of FOXK1 in gastric cancer and explore its relationship with the occurrence and development of gastric cancer and its clinical significance. Methods The expressions of FOXK1, E-cadherin and Vimentin in 88 cases of gastric cancer and normal gastric mucosa were detected by tissue chip and immunohistochemical En Vision method. Results The positive expression rates of FOXK1 in 88 cases of gastric cancer and normal gastric mucosa were 96.59% and 7.95% respectively, and there was significant difference between them(P 〈0.01).The expression of FOXK1 protein was associated with T stage, N stage, and TNM stage(all P〈0.01), but not associated with gender, age, and tumor size(all P〉0.05). The expression of FOXK1 protein was negatively correlated with E-cadherin expression(r=-0.21, P〈0.05), and positively correlated with Vimentin expression(r=0.63, P〈0.05).Conclusion The abnormal expression of FOXK1 protein is related to the occurrence and development of gastric cancer. It can be used as a marker for judging biological marker.
