摘要
本文对比分析了中美上市公司年度报告话语的多维功能特征,研究发现:1)中美企业年报话语在功能维度特征上存在异同,与美国相比,中国企业年报话语的信息性、叙述性和指称明晰性较强,而交互性和劝说性较弱,但两类语篇都具有较高的抽象性。2)两类语篇的功能维度特征差异具体表现在11类语言特征共现频率上的差异。本研究对提升我国上市企业对外传播质量和有效性以及商务英语教学具有一定启示。
This paper conducts a contrastive analysis of the multi-dimensional discourse features of the Chinese and US corporate annual report narratives. The study found that 1) compared with the US corporate annual reports,Chinese ones are more informative,narrative and explicit,but less involved and persuasive; however,both Chinese and the US corporate reports are very abstract. 2) the differences of the multi-dimensional functional features between Chinese and the US corporate annual report discourse are attributed to differences in the co-occurrence frequency of eleven linguistic features. The research findings have important implications for global corporate communication and business language teaching and research.
