After the lacustrine bioclastic dolostone reservoir of BZ oilfield in Shanan sag was put into production, obvious contradiction between the actual production performance and initial geological understanding was observed.Based on abundant oilfield production data(pressure, output and PVT experiment data, etc.),generalized material balance method combined with the study on ancient landform and the regeneration of paleo-ecological environment were used to make backward prediction on the development rules and scale of bioclastic dolostone in the study area.Research results prove that longitudinally, along with the continuous expansion of the lake basin water bodies, the bioclastic beach presents a retrograde-overlap mode on the ancient uplift slope. On the plane, the bioclastic beach mainly developed on the ancient gentle slope and undergone transgressive episode.Because of the division of the uplift and structure ridge, the planar distribution of the reservoir is sheet-like and disconnected.According to the new pattern, two adjustment wells were deployed and actually drilled 1.0 m and7.6 m into bioclastic dolostone respectively, and the newly increased proven oil reserves were nearly 4 million tons. This paper provides a new idea for the fine characterization of lacustrine bioclastic dolostone reservoirs with similar geological characteristics.
