摘要
西方极简主义设计在设计理念和审美观念上追求极致简化,主张以高度提炼、素朴的设计表达丰富的内涵。东方禅宗思想强调在恒久的自然和无常的生命中体悟,禅宗美学经过长期的发展形成了完整的思想体系,崇尚由自然静笃的状态达至生命的超越、精神的自由。虽然极简主义设计与禅宗美学分属完全不同的文化类型和体系,但站在人类文明的层面来分析,两者又存在着潜在的共性,在本质上有着内在的联系。两者都强调自然、简洁、质朴、节俭,通过减少外在的欲望、装饰来追求更加本质的状态,一个通过宗教、一个通过造型来实现形而上的某种共同需求,在精神意义上殊途同归。文章对极简主义设计和禅宗美学的关系和精神性进行探讨分析,从文化学的角度结合实例研究其异同,通过对禅宗美学和极简主义设计的研究必然会对现代设计产生积极意义。
Western minimalism designs pursuit an idea of expressing rich meaning by means of a highly refined and simple way of design. Eastern Zen, however, encourages people to experience in the enterat nature and variable life, exceeding life and find the peace of soul. Zen aesthetics has already formed a complete philosophy system after thousand year' s development. Although minimalism design and Zen aesthetics belongs to two different culture system, viewing from the aspect of the whole development of human beings, however, the are closely linked to one another. Both of them stress the importance of being nature and simple, and their final destination is to pursuit a state closer to the essence of nature, one by religious way, and the other try to reach it by designing aesthetics. This article aims to study the spiritual connection between Zen and minimalism. The research on Zen aesthetics and minimalism is definitely beneficial for modern design.
