摘要
文章通过展示汉语"因为"和英语"because"的具体演变过程,揭示了它们历时演变的句法特征。汉语和英语原因词"因为"和"because"都结合自实词或较实的词,经历了语法化,基本上用作连词,结构越来越固化。对英汉原因词演变路径的历时了解和研究有助于人们更有效地习得英汉原因词和句式,也有助于此语法现象的教学和研究。
By demonstrating the specific evolutional process of Chinese 'yinw ei'and English 'because',this paper attempts to reveal the syntactic features of their diachronic evolution. Chinese and English causal w ords 'yinw ei'and 'because'are both combined from content or rather content w ords w hich both have undergone grammaticalization and are used as conjunctions. Accordingly,their clause constructions tend to get more and more integrated and solidified as a w hole. The diachronic know ledge of the evolutional process of Chinese 'yinw ei'and English 'because'contributes to the more efficient acquisition,teaching and research of causal w ords and clauses.
