Expression and clinical significance of nasopharyngeal epithelium cell specific protein 1( NESG1) in non-small cell lung cancer

摘要 目的探讨鼻咽上皮细胞特异性蛋白1(NESG1)在非小细胞肺癌(NSCLC)组织中的表达及临床意义。方法采用免疫组化Envision两步法检测64例NSCLC组织中NESG1的表达,以39例癌旁正常组织作为对照,分析NESG1在NSCLC中的表达及与患者临床病理特征的关系。结果NESGI在NSCLC中的阳性表达率26.6%(17/64),在癌旁正常组织的阳性表达率为53.8%(21/39),NSCLC中阳性表达下降,差异有统计学意义(x2=7.748,P=0.005),NESG1的表达与患者年龄、淋巴结转移、分化程度、TNM分期有关(P〈0.05),而与性别、组织学分型、肿瘤大小无关(P〉0.05)。结论NESG1基因在NSCLC中表达下调,其表达水平与多种临床特征有关,可能作为一个重要因素参与了NSCLC的发生、发展。 Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of nasopharyngeal epithelium cell specific protein 1 ( NESG1 ) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods The expression of NESG1 was detected by immunohistochemical Envision two-step method in 64 cases of NSCLC tissues, and 39 cases of normal tissue adjacent to carcinoma as comparison. The relationship between NESG1 expression and clinical pathological character- istics was analyzed. Results The positive expression rate of NESG1 in NSCLC was 26. 6% (17/64) and 53.8% (21/39) in normal tissue adjacent to carcinoma The positive expression rate declined in NSCLC tissue compared with normal tissue adjacent to carcinoma ( X2 = 7. 748, P = 0. 005 ). The expression of NESG1 related with patients' age, lymph node metastasis, tumor differentiation, and TNM staging (P 〈 0. 05 ), and nothing related with patients' gender, pathological type, or tumor size (P 〉 0. 05). Conclusion The expression level of NESGI genes in NSCLC is down-regulated and associated with a variety of clinical features, which may be an important factor involve in the occurrence and development of NSCLC.
