摘要
在与白话诗派的论争中,学衡派形成了自己的"新诗"文体观。这些观念相对于新诗理论而言,文化态度上显得相当"保守"。其所以如此,与其对诗学传统的认同密切相关:诗文各有体的文体规训,使其无法超越"旧格律"限制;中庸观念的潜在影响,导致了其"调和"的文体改良策略;重于"通"而轻于"变",又造成了"常"有余而"变"不足;以"公度体"为"新诗模范",但对黄诗的局限性认识不足。学衡派的新诗观念不乏真理成分,但整体而言疏离时代需求,因而显得"不合时宜"。尽管如此,学衡派诗学观念极大地丰富了新文学传统内涵,具有重要历史和认识价值。
Among the debates over vernacular poetry, Xueheng School formed its own ideas of the style of "the new poetry. " Compared to the other contemporary poetry theories, Xueheng School's cultural attitude is conservative, and it is deeply identified with the traditional poetics. Restricted to the traditional differentiation of genre styles, Xueheng School's ideas of poetry style could not surpass the old rules of metrics, while the impact of Confucian idea of moderation results in its eclectic strategy in stylistic renovation. This strategy attaches more importance to the consistency than change, which results in more constant elements than changes. Although Xueheng School's ideas of poetry style have its reasons, their failure to meet the needs of their times leads to their being at odds with the age. Nevertheless, Xueheng School's ideas of poetics have enriched the traditional elements in the new literature, besides its historical and academic value.
