摘要
某石化公司催化裂化装置为减少凝缩油泵机械密封泄漏的发生,进行了机械密封系统改造。将金属波纹管单端面密封改为串联式机械密封,在实际运行中频繁出现泄漏,现场检查发现主密封的凝缩油介质只有微量泄漏,而副密封的隔离液泄漏较多。通过改变大气侧外密封材质,改进密封结构及其附件,更换隔离液,改变操作条件等措施,解决了密封失效的问题,使金属波纹管密封得以长周期安全平稳运行。
A petrochemical company modified its mechanical seal system in the catalytic cracking unit so as to avoid the occurrence of mechanical seal leakage in the condensation pump.Leakage occurred frequently in the actual operation after changing the metal bellows single end face seal into tandem mechanical seal.It was found out through site inspection that there was only minute amount of leakage from the main seal in the condensation oil medium while there was much leakage from the seal fluid in the secondary seal.The problem of seal failure was solved after having taken such measures as changing the material of the outer seal contacting with the atmosphere,improving the sealing structure and its accessories,changing the seal fluid and changing operating conditions.This ensures the long-period safe and smooth operation of the metal bellows seal.
