虚拟专用网VPN是一个新的网络热门技术，它可以利用公共网络建立企业内部网，从而不仅减轻了企业费用，还保证了数据的安全性。讨论了VPN的来源、定义、协议及安全问题，并举例说明了如何用VPN构建企业内部网。
The Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a new network technology, which can use public network to construct Intranet. It not only reduce the expense of industry, but also ensure data security. This paper discusses original, definition, protocol and security of VPN, and how to use VPN to construct Intranet by example.
