摘要
研究机动车牌照自动识别系统的可靠性 .通过对字符识别率、不同光照条件的适应能力以及行驶中车辆图像的快速捕捉几方面的研究发现 :利用细微的结构特征对几组相似字符进行区别是提高字符识别率的有效方法 .为了使识别系统具有全天候工作的能力 ,还必须对 CCD进行适应性调整 ,使其能自动适应光线的变化 .
In an automobile license plate identification system, the effort in increasing its reliability should mainly be focused on CCD auto adjustment, motion capture, and character recognition. In the identification system under study, structural information are used to distinguish characters having resemblance.
